Welcome to Mater. Trans.

"Materials Transactions" originally started as an international journal in 1960 having a good historical background with the journal name "Transactions of the Japan Institute of Metals". Being renamed to "Materials transactions, JIM" in 1989, and unified with publications in 13 other institutes in the field of materials science and engineering, it came to the present journal name.

Our editorial team is welcoming your high quality manuscripts based on your original work and idea in the forms of Regular Article, Review, Overview, Technical Article, Rapid publication, Express Rapid Publication and Opinion. (See more the Information for Authors)

Materials Transactions is pleased to announce the most highly cited papers published in the last 12 yeas. The top 7 papers are listed below, where the citations come to more than 8 times per year.

We would like to congratulate the authors and appreciate their significant contribution to our publication activity.
